Dear Fellow Friends of the Library (FOTL) Members and Supporters,
I hope this newsletter finds you happily settling in to the new year. I am pleased to thank you for your annual support for our library and I especially want to thank those of you who contributed to our Lights for Literacy program. This project supports the purchase of books for our children and young adults. If you still want to make a donation, the project runs through January 31st , 2023.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce that the Friends of the Library, Thibodaux Chapter, now has an online presence at www.FOTLT.com Please take a few minutes to check out our website and consider making your annual donation through this online platform. We also hope to use this website to keep you informed about upcoming Friends of the Library support activities for our library and its patrons.
We had a wonderful November and December at the library. The main to events the FOTL donated to were the Veterans Day Program and the Christmas Open House and Children’s Book Give Away. Both events were well attended and provided our patrons with an opportunity to visit and enjoy one another’s viewpoints. I must admit Mrs. Claus was the hit of the Christmas Open House and, along with the children, I was amazed by her kind and loving spirit.
Many thanks to all of our librarians who work so enthusiastically to our community reading,
growing, and becoming lifelong learners.
All the best to you and yours this 2023!
